Matthew Schmidthas 25 years of experience in high
technology and business-to-business communications. He serves as a senior
counselor to clients providing systems-level and semiconductor products, and has
particular expertise in convergence markets, storage technologies, and embedded
electronics for consumer markets. During
the history of the agency, Matthew has aided in development of
strategies and execution of global product and company launches for clients
ranging from bootstrap start-ups to large multinationals.
Prior to founding FS Communications in 1991, Matthew was a vice
president/group manager at the Silicon Valley office of Ketchum Public
Relations, where he managed daily account work and coordinated activities with
multiple agency offices. He also
worked in Burson-Marsteller's New York and San Francisco Bay Area offices on
business-to-business communications programs for companies such as Digital
Equipment, DuPont, Genentech, and Owens-Corning.
Matthew graduated from Utica College of Syracuse University with a
bachelor’s degree in public relations and journalism. He received his
accreditation in public relations from the Public Relations Society of America
in June 1989.
